Job Description
Remote is seeking a Senior Power Platform Software Developer to join the team at the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA). The successful candidate will contribute to the continued development and expansion of myAMSA, an established in-house digital portal. myAMSA supports AMSA’s organisational strategy by delivering a digital-first approach to maritime regulation, improving the customer experience, streamlining business processes, strengthening data capabilities and enabling more efficient regulatory service delivery. Role Description
AMSA’s IT project teams are small, collaborative groups that work closely with business stakeholders to deliver practical outcomes aligned with the organisation’s mission and regulatory responsibilities. The Senior Power Platform Software Engineer will need to work cohesively across technical and business teams, contribute effectively within a high-performing environment and adapt to the needs of a smaller organisation.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a genuine interest in AMSA’s work, an understanding of its operating environment and the ability to contribute to the continued development of myAMSA. They will combine strong technical capability with effective communication, collaboration and a practical approach to delivery.
Essential criteria

Demonstrated experience developing solutions using Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dataverse and the Power Platform, including Power Pages.

Strong front-end development skills using JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML and CSS, with experience in modern frameworks such as Vue.js.

Strong full-stack development skills, including experience with C#, .NET, REST APIs, JSON and SQL, and integrating front-end applications with backend services.

Experience with Azure and Power Platform integration technologies, such as API Management, Azure Functions, Logic Apps and Power Automate.

Experience working with established application architectures, development patterns and reusable components, including Azure DevOps, source control and CI/CD practices.

Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills, with demonstrated experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary delivery teams.
Desirable criteria

Experience with AI and intelligent automation technologies, such as Azure AI, Microsoft Copilot, AI Builder, generative AI or agent-based solutions.

Relevant Microsoft certifications across Power Platform, Dynamics 365, Azure or AI will be highly regarded.
