Senior Infrastructure Engineer (PROJ-4772)
Job Description
Remote is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join the team in ASD. The Senior Infrastructure Engineer will have experience with cloud services and virtualisation, familiarity with containerisation principles including Docker and Kubernetes, and a minimum of five years’ experience in Linux systems administration across on-premises and cloud environments.
The successful candidate will bring strong experience designing, deploying and managing VMware environments, including VMware Aria, and supporting complex networking configurations. They will also have experience delivering secure, isolated environments and deploying developer and analyst tooling within technically complex environments. ( LH-07214)
Role Description
Key duties and responsibilities

Lead and manage installation, configuration and maintenance of multiple systems.

Use of automation tools for development of; and continuous configuration management of system builds.

Manage and provide advice for ongoing hardware and operating system support.

Provide guidance and uplift capability of other team members. Work as a member of an integrated team and effectively prioritise, allocate tasks, participate in and contribute to design reviews, stakeholder meetings.

Work with system administrators and software developers to continuously improve processes and procedures.

Navigate a complex business environment with only limited direction.

Communicate with a diverse stakeholder group in technical and business process terms.

Support deployment of Kubernetes and VMWare based malware analysis tools across different cloud environments.
Technical skills
-
Experience with cloud services and virtualisation.

Familiarity with containerisation principles including Docker and Kubernetes.

Minimum 5 years' experience in Linux systems administration across on premises and cloud environments
Essential criteria

Demonstrable experience in VMWare and VMWare Aria, including design, deployment and lifecycle management.

Strong networking knowledge, including experience configuring and troubleshooting VLANs, DNS, load balancers and firewall rules.

Experience deploying developer and analyst tooling, including IDE environments, package management and access controls.

Experience deploying and configuring sandboxed (or isolated) environments.
