Job Description

Remote is seeking a Agile Scrum Master to join the team in ASD. Working within a section responsible for multiple ICT projects, the Scrum Master will enable high-performing, cross-functional teams to deliver business value by facilitating Agile ceremonies, coaching team members and stakeholders, and removing impediments to delivery. The role will also manage risks and dependencies, track and communicate delivery metrics, support governance reporting, and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement. Role Description

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Agile Delivery facilitation including Sprint Planning Daily Standup, Sprint Reviews, Sprint Retrospectives and Backlog Refinement.

  • Coach team members, Product Owners and stakeholders on Agile principles and practices. 

  • Support the development of high-performing, cross-functional teams. 

  • Encourage a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous learning. 

  • Proactively remove impediments impacting delivery. 

  • Escalate issues through appropriate governance channels when required. 

  • Prepare reports for governance forums and steering committees. 

  • Track and communicate Agile metrics including: Velocity, Sprint predictability, Burn down/Burn up charts and delivery progress. 

Essential criteria

  • Demonstrated experience leading Agile delivery teams in complex environments, ensuring the successful delivery of business outcomes whilst applying Scrum and Agile principles.

  • Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships and influence stakeholders at all organisational levels to support Agile delivery outcomes.

  • Demonstrated experience coaching individuals and teams in Agile principles, fostering high-performing, self-managing teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, assess and manage risks, dependencies and impediments that impact delivery outcomes.

  • Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of Agile frameworks, methodologies and tools in a complex ICT environment.
