Lead Gateway Operations Coordinator (PROJ-4818)
Job Description
Remote is seeking a Gateway Operations Lead to join the team in ASD. The Lead Operations Coordinator is responsible for the running of day-to-day operations whilst ensuring the availability of critical services and components across the environment. This role also needs to ensure that the gateway maintains the security requirements and documentation, the role will help lead investigations into both services outages and security breaches within the gateway. The Gateway Operations Lead will act as a central coordination point for senior leadership, ensuring effective communication, prioritisation and alignment of resources across teams and stakeholder. Role Description
Key duties and responsibilities

Provides advice and guidance on the planning, design and improvement of service and component availability.

Investigates all breaches of availability targets and service non-availability and initiates remedial activities.

Manages and prioritises the schedules and communication of senior managers and leadership teams to ensure efficient use of time and resources.

Ensures managers have the information and resources needed to support ongoing processes and changes in processes.

Engages and collaborates with a wide range of stakeholders, including those at the management level.

Gains agreement from stakeholders to conclusions and recommendations.
Essential criteria
-
Demonstrated experience delivering or managing gateway, network, integration or secure service capabilities in a large and complex ICT Government capability environment.

Proven strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across senior executives and technical team.

Demonstrated experience in navigating complex technical and operational environment to produce and maintain solutions.

Demonstrated experience in problem solving and issue resolution.

Proven experience in managing service management or continuous improvement activities to the agreed service levels.
Desirable criteria

Demonstrated experience with or knowledge of Australian Government information security policies, the ASD Information Security Manual and Essential Eight.

Familiarity with adjacent technologies including firewalls, DNS security, CASB, DLP, or SIEM/SOAR platforms.

Understanding of enterprise identity and authentication concepts (SAML, LDAP/AD, Kerberos) as they relate to proxy and SWG deployments.

Relevant certifications (e.g. PCNSE, CCNP Security, Broadcom/Symantec SWG, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent).
