Job Description
Remote is seeking a Project (Logistics Support) Officer to assist ASD in the operations of a Project/Program/Portfolio Office and the delivery of projects. The successful candidate requires ICT logistics and Governance skills. Under general direction, they will be responsible for logistic services that enable the efficient delivery of sustainment and deployment projects in IT Services Delivery. This position is customer facing, and requires relationship management with Defence users. (LH-02163)
Role Description
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Site liaison and stakeholder engagement, including with customers and suppliers, to ensure ICT Service Delivery requirements are met.
- Arrange travel and freight in support of sustainment and projects, including preparation of equipment for shipping in support of sustainment and projects.
- Plan, initiate and manage procurements to support program and organisational requirements. Manage priorities and workflows and schedule procurement activities to meet deadlines.
- Draft and review Governance and asset management policy documentation.
- Maintenance of ICT asset records, plan and execute stocktaking activities.
- Develop logistics supply chains in line with organisational policy and customer requirements.
- Identify supply chain shortfalls, develop rectification proposals for review, approval and implementation of solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures.
Technical skills:
- Experience in Integrated Logistic principles and the ability to quickly understand the sustainment of Defence capabilities and utilise inventory management systems.
Essential criteria:
- PROF 4: Supports programme or project control boards, project assurance teams and quality review meetings. Takes responsibility for the provision of support services to projects. Uses and recommends project control solutions for planning, scheduling and tracking projects. Sets up and provides detailed guidance on project management software, procedures, processes, tools and techniques. Provides basic guidance on individual project proposals. May provide a cross programme view on risk, change, quality, finance or configuration management.
- CSMG 4: Monitors service delivery channels and collects performance data. Assists with the specification, development, research and evaluation of service standards. Applies these standards to resolve or escalate issues and gives technical briefings to staff members.
- RLMT 4: Deals with problems and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned, and the collection and dissemination of relevant information. Implements stakeholder engagement/communications plan. Collects and uses feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure the effectiveness of stakeholder management. Helps develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships.
- ASMG 4: Controls assets in one or more significant areas ensuring that administration of full life cycle of assets is carried out. Produces and analyses registers and histories of authorised assets and verifies that all these assets are in a known state and location. Acts to highlight and resolve potential instances of unauthorised assets.
